Almost eight years ago exactly I did an photographic study of the the motels of Fresno's stretch of old highway 99. I shot many rolls of film on the motels. They are now decrepit, seedy or gone. The above postcard probably dates to the late 50's or early 60's. The Bel Air was a motel and restaurant that was open for many years. it was torn down recently as it was in total disrepair. Sadly it was one of the most interesting motels out of the group architecturally.
I haven't water marked this as I have lost the negatives in the many moves that I have made.
Had to get the pipes fit so the Superior muffler would fit. Stressed at bit about fitting and then going to welding to TIG it then having to return not knowing if the fit would work. Well it did. It sure made my night. Now if Coker could get my damn tire here after they sent me the wrong one...
Side note, online tickets have sold out for the Born Free raffle, crazy as they typically have had to sell them the day of.
Valentines running, got the parts fit and went for two loops around Redwood Valley. I can't believe how smooth a stock solo seat is, you sit up so high though that you almost feel like flying. The pipes, though I have yet to install the superior exhaust, are much quieter than my shotguns. I am waiting on my 18" rim then I will lace it and the 16" Kelsey Hayes that I have. A week and a half to Born Free. Now I need tires and saddle bags. This is getting tight. Real tight.
